Somewhat recently binged GX onwards to get back into the series. But making it only work with Graceful Charity seems too slow though. Pretty interesting, and it'd be cool to see that card printed.the card actually negates any discard effect and has you add cards back to your hand that might be too broken if it could be used on some of the crazier discard cards though. To be fair Disgraceful Charity actually isn't a total ass pull 's one of the rare anime exclusive cards that has appeared in multiple seasons, appearing first during the Virtual Arc in Yu-Gi-Oh. Then Judai draws Graceful Charity, uses it, and happens to have a Trap Card called Disgraceful Charity which negates the discard effect of Graceful Charity so he gets to keep all three cards he drew. Oh, and he draws Pot of Greed! Then Edo summons a monster that lets Judai draw each standby phase as long as it remains on the field (as a downside for having super high DEF). To wit Judai has no cards whatsoever and draws Bubbleman, which let's him summon it and draw 2 cards. I bet whoever writes Rush Duels is glad they just refill their hand each turn. So when I finally saw it start to finish, it also cemented Judai as an awesome protagonist for me.Īlso I was watching an episode of GX and the amount of cards the writers needed to use to move the Duel along was pretty funny. I've always had a major soft spot for GX, it's characters, and its archtypes. VRAINS as I know it is a trainwreck with basically zero redeeming qualities. Arc-V was thematically very interesting to me but its a shame they messed up the potential bad with this one toward the end, apparently. I have very little interest in Zexal from what I know of it's plot and characters and their development. Will probably return to it at some point.

Even if you do miss out on amazing season 3 cheese, it sets the tone way better for later).Ī good dozen or so of 5Ds dubbed (I wanted to watch this one subbed since it had a good story, but my friend was insistent on dubbed). Most of the OG, I've missed some things here and there.Īll of GX: seasons 1 and 2 dubbed, then 3 and 4 subbed (The best way to watch it imo since the first half is so light hearted and the second half serious.
